Recipe for Chocolate Cheesecake Success


A chocolate cheesecake recipe can be so rich and luscious. One cheesecake will go a long way.

There are two main types of cheesecakes baked and unbaked.

The baked cheesecakes are firmer and richer and freeze well.

Unbaked chocolate cheesecakes can be made with fresh fruit and are a perfect chocolate dessert.


When making the baked cheesecakes, you should follow the cooking times carefully.  

Don't overcook these. At the end of the cooking time the cheesecake may still appear to be soft in the center but as the cheesecake cools it will become firmer.

If you do over bake the cheesecake it develops a grainy texture and will shrink, crack and become dry as it cools.

When the baking time is completed turn of the heat and leave the cheesecake to cool in the oven, this will help set the soft center and prevent it from falling.  

Once the cheesecake has cooled you can place in the refrigeratoruntil it has completely set.  

Large cheesecakes are best made the day before, these should be kept in the refrigerator overnight so the filling has a chance to set properly.
