A Chocolate Milk Recipe

Chocolate Milk Float

makes 1 1/2 cup of syrup



1 1/4 cups of caster sugar (super fine sugar)

1 1/4 cups of water

1 cup of unsweetened cocoa

To serve:  Milk, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and extra cocoa powder for dusting.


1.  In a saucepan, heat the sugar and water until the sugar has dissolved.  Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2.  Whisk the cocoa into the sugar syrup until smooth.

3.  Let the mixture cool and refrigerated until needed.

To make the Choc Milk Float

Whisk together 1 cup of milk and 10 teaspoons of chilled chocolate syrup.

Pour this into a chilled, float a scoop of ice cream on to the drink, and to[ with whipped cream.

To finish sprinkle with a little cocoa and serve.
