![]() 4 cups milk 1 cinnamon stick 2 whole cloves 115g (4 oz) dark chocolate cut into small pieces 2 - 3 drops of almond essence 1. Gently heat the milk with the spices in a saucepan until almost boiling. 2. Stir in the chocolate over a moderate heat until melted. 3. Strain the liquid to remove cinnamon and cloves into a blender (or use a handheld blender), add the almond essence and blend on high speed for about 30 seconds until the mixture becomes frothy. 4. Pour into warmed heatproof glasses or cups and serve.
